SRGMP c2009 Grand Finale 24th January 2009 update
The grand finale was a challenge to terrorism for remembering the tragedy of 26/11.
Ajay Devgan opened the show.
The top 3 contestants came on stage to perform a song from Halla Bol.
All the contestants and their mentors were called on stage and asked for their initial reactions as to who would win the grand finale.
Shankarji performed Suno Zor Se Duniyawalo from Hindustani. His last contestant from Lakshya Gharana Pratibha Singh Bagel came on stage and performed 2 songs with her guru: Desi Girl from Dostana and Rock n Roll Soniye from Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. Pratibha won a mobile for sabse bulandi awaz. All 3 finalists also won a mobile.

SRGMPc2009 Episode 54 23rd January 2009 update
Today’s episode was Vaishali’s concert in Thane, Mumbai.
The special guests for the concert were Anil Kapoor, Kunal Ganjawala, Raja Hasan and Mauli Dave.
Asma and Aditya opened the show singing Mumbai Nagariya from Taxi 9211.
Vaishali sang Sajna Ji Vari Vari from Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd. She also sang Mungada. Her husband came on stage and he spoke in Hindi and Marathi as he requested the audience to vote for Vaishali.

SRGMP c2009 Episode 53 17th January 2009 update
Today’s show featured Soumen’s performance in Kolkata.
Aditya opened the show performing on Nagada from Jab We Met.
Soumen performed Teri Deewani and Ujjaini, Sanchita; Debojit Saha & Aneek were there to support him on stage.
Mamta Banerjee PM was also there to support Soumen.

SRGMP c2009 Episode 52 16th January 2009 update
Today’s show was Yashita’s performance in Delhi.
Asma Rafi and Aditya Narayan were the hosts for the show.
Aditya opened the show by singing Jee Karda from Singh is Kinng.
Yashita opened the show singing Race Saanson Ki from the movie Race. She also sang Hulle Hulla Re and the crowd sang with her.

The show opened with the contestants singing songs from the black and white era vs. modern era. Vaishali & Yashita sang Hawa Mein Udta Jaaye and Soumen and Aditya sang Dupatta Tera from Partner.

Soumen sang Mere Umar Ke Nau Jawano (Om Shanti Om) from Karz and Deewangi from Om Shanti Om. He received 2 histories from the mentors.

No elimination on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa…
For the second straight year, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa will have three finalists. With no elimination taking place this week, Vaishali Made, Shoumen Nandi and Yashita Sharma will contest for the coveted Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009 title at the finals which will probably take place on 24 January.
