SRGMP c2009 24th August 2008 Episode 16 Update

This episode was based around the R n B genre which has recently appeared in the last few years in the Bollywood music industry.

The first gharana to perform was Himesh Reshammiya’s

ROCK GHARANA:
*Sunvinder sang Bas ek King from Singh is Kinng. The audience asked Sunvinder for a once more and Pritamji performed the song with him.
*Manisha sang Zara Zara Touch Me from Race. Everyone appreciated her performance alot.
*Zaheer sang Move Your Body from Jonny Gaddar. All mentors and mahaguru’s appreciated his performance and the audience learnt that Zaheer is a big fan of Suresh Wadekar.

LAKSHYA GHARANA was next to perform:
*Naina sang Khwab Dekhe from Race. Pritamji really praised Naina’s performance as she sang both male and female parts of the song effortlessly.
*Kaushik sang One Love from Rakht. Pritamji felt he has a very good voice for R n B.
*Sara sang Golmaal from Golmaal. The audience learnt that it was Ghulam Ali sahaab who had auditioned Sara from the Lahore auditions.

Pritamji’s DHOOM GHARANA was next to perform:
*Mithika sang Right Here Right Now from Bluffmaster. Everyone appreciated her performance alot as she sang in 3 voices!
*Arshad sang Pyaar Ke Side Effects title track. All the mentors appreciated his performance as well.

JAI HO GHARNA was last to perform:
*Deepali sang Ek Ajnabee title track. Everybody appreciated her performance and they felt it was a good attempt.
*Sayan sang Ae Pappi from Kismet Konnection. Everyone felt it wasn’t one of his best performances and Aadeshji said that it was a wrong song selection for him.

RESULTS:
*Yashita kept the Sangeet Chakra as no one else scored higher marks than her.
BOYS RESULTS:
*Zaheer = IN
*Sunvinder, Kaushik, Arshad = IN
*Sayan = OUT
GIRLS RESULTS:
*Manisha = OUT
*Mithika, Naina, Sara, Deepali = IN
