SRGMP c2009 30th August 2008 Episode 18 update

This episode was dedicated to the guru of Jai Ho gharana: Aadesh Srivastavaji.
The set of SRGMP was turned into a newsroom with Aditya being the news reader! After each contestant’s performance, Aditya spoke to news reporters in the contestant’s respective home towns.
An apology to all as the beginning of the episode was missed.
The first gharana to perform was Shankarji’s:

LAKSHYA GHARANA

*Kaushik sang Marhawa from Deewar Let’s Bring our Heroes home. All the contestants were singing songs which have been composed by Aadeshji. Everyone appreciated Kaushik’s performance.
*Sara sang Rang Deeni from Dev. Everyone appreciated her performance.

Aadeshji’s 2 sons and his wife were called on stage.

Himeshji told the audience that the music for his forthcoming film Karzzzz has now been released.

*Naina sang Bagbhan title track. All appreciated her performance.

DHOOM GHARANA was next to perform:

*Arshad sang Bavari Piya from Baabul. Everyone felt that it was a very good attempt, but Shankarji felt that Arshad needs to work on his breathing.

*Mithika sang Layi Vi Na Gayi from Chalte Chalte. The mentors felt it was a good attempt.

ROCK GHARANA was next to perform:

*Sunvinder sang Ghumshuda from Chalte Chalte. The mentors felt it was a good attempt, but they noticed that the way he sang the mukhda was not as good as his antara.

*Zaheer sang Sona Sona from Major Saab. Debojit was dancing alot during Zaheer’s performance! Aadeshji felt that his voice was lacking in expressions that are required for this particular song.

Special guest Sameer Dattani came to promote his forthcoming film “Mukhbir”.

RESULTS:
*Sangeet Chakra stayed with Debojit
*Naina won the mobile phone

GIRLS RESULTS:
All girls were IN

BOYS RESULTS:
*Arshad & Sunvinder are ELIMINATED
*Kaushik & Zaheer are IN
Brahmastra will be happening soon:
*Asma, Sayon, Jenice, Manisha & Tarun are all making preparations to come back onto the show.
