SRGMP C2009 Episode 19 5th September 2008 update
Today’s episode was a Ganesh Chathurthi Special 
The show opened with Shankarji sang Morya Re from Don with Aditya and the contestants.
The Mahaguru for this episode was Suresh Wadekarji.
DHOOM GHARANA was the first one on stage:
*Yashita sang the Marathi song “Aigadajiba” by Vaishali Samant. Shankarji said that she rocked the song; Himeshji said that she is one of the top 2 contestants of the show, Aadeshji said Jai Maharashtra and Pritamji said her performance was superb!! Sureshji said that she sang very beautifully!
*Debojit sang Aisa Pehli Baar Hua Hain from Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega. All the mentors except Pritamji felt that Debojit chose the wrong song. Himeshji said that it is very dangerous for a singer to sing a song that is outside of their own genre.
*Shujat sang Chori Chori Chupke Se from Lucky No Time for Love. Shankarji said it was Shujat’s comeback performance. Himeshji also really appreciated his performance!! Pritamji was very happy with his performance!!
JAI HO GHARANA was next on stage:
*Faraz sang Ishq Kiya Kiya from Welcome. Himeshji didn’t feel it was one of his best performances. Pritamji also felt the same way. Shankarji said it was an “ok ok” performance. Aadeshji agreed with all the mentors’ comments.
*Anupama sang Jungle mein Koyel Bole from Taal. Himeshji said that it wasn’t one of her best performances. Pritamji said that because Anupama is unwell she was not able to give her best as she usually does.
LAKSHYA GHARANA was next to perform:
*Pratibha sang Namak Ishq ka from Omkara. Pratibha’s family came on stage and sung a religious Bhajan. Pritamji said she sang very well, Aadeshji said that she has a crystal clear voice. Himeshji said she sang very beautifully!
The contestants then had to perform together in the DUET ROUNDS.
*Faraz & Anupama (JAI HO GHARANA) sang Duniya Mein. Shankarji said it was a brilliant performance by both of them. Aadeshji gave them some money to share between them for giving such a wonderful performance.
*Yashita & Shujat sang Chaiyya Chaiyya from Dil Se. Himeshji said it was a fantastic performance and Himeshji also felt the same and he gave Shujat 500 rupees & a signed copy of Karzzzz CD
Himeshji requested everyone to vote for his gharana to win Bhramashtra.
*Debojit & Pratibha sang Jai Jai Shiv Shankar from Aap Ki Kasam. The audience asked them for a once more!! Himeshji said the performance was superb, outstanding, mindblowing, fantastic!! Pritamji said the performance “Ne sach mein Dhoom Machadi!”
RESULTS:
*Sangeet Chakra went to Pratibha
*Anupama was ELIMINATED
