SRGMP c2009 Episode 50 9th January 2009 update

Today’s episode was a Ghazal special. The special guests were Jagjit Singh and Pt.Hariprasad Chaurasiya. The final 3 sang:

JAI HO GHARANA

Soumen sang a Bandish Poocho Na Kaise and Albela Sajan Ayo Re. He received 2 histories from the mentors.

Soumen sang Ahista Ahista by Jagjit Singh. He received 2 histories from the mentors.

DHOOM GHARANA

Yashita sang a Raag followed by Naino Mein and finally Tu Mile Dil Khile. She received a super hit from Himeshji and history from Aadeshji.

Yashita sang Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo by Asha Bhosle. She received 2 histories from the mentors.

ROCK GHARANA

Vaishali sang a Raag followed by Jiya Le Gayo ending with Mere Humsafar (title track). She received history from both mentors.

Vaishali also sang Dil Cheez Kya Hai from Umrao Jaan. She received history from both mentors.
