SRGMP c2009 27th September Episode 26 update
The special guests on the show were Imran Khan and Minnisha Lamba who were there to promote their film Kidnap. At the beginning of the show, it was shown that someone attempted to kidnap host Aditya Narayan and the audience learnt later on that it was Imran!

SRGMP c2009 26th September Episode 25 Update
The top 14 contestants opened the show to Pritamji’s Race Saanson Ki which was shot outdoors.
The bottom 3 for this week are: Mitika, Faraz, and Vaishali.
Shoumen won the Sangeet Chakra from Pratibha.
JAI HO GHARANA
Shoumen sang Ajab Si from Om Shanti Om. SM gave him super hit, HR gave him a hit and PC gave him super hit. They showed Shoumen’s video asking for votes.
After Shoumen’s performance there was a discussion between the mentors about which point of view the public should be voting for the contestants. Himeshji requested the janta to vote for females as he felt that there should be a female winner this time round. He also requested the public to look at the tonal quality of the voice as if the tonal quality is great; they can sing really well in the studio whereas if they are out because of one performance it’s really sad. The other mentors agreed with Himeshji’s points.

SRGMP c2009 Episode 25 20th September 2008 update
The first gharana to perform in the episode was Aadeshji’s:
JAI HO GHARANA
*Faraz sang Mann ki Lagan from Paap. I t was a very emotional performance as he dedicated the song to his father who is no longer with him. He also sang a prayer for his father.
This week SaReGaMaPa will be getting its top 14 contestants to enter into the final Agnipariksha round. The show which has already been on news for its melodrama will see more of that sort in the coming week. Pakistan ki Beti, Sara Raza Khan who has been in controversy many a time and more recently for sharing of lyrics with Deepali in the duet, will again be seen in a controversy as according to her she is not getting the homely treatment when compare to other contestants on the show.
Although Sara smiles radiantly at you every time but there is a gloom looming large behind that radiant smile. She is the only Pakistani girl to have crossed the border to participate in the reality show and showcase her talent inspite of opposition from her community and is also facing lot of objection back at home. And this week she narrated a sordid tale of how she is being treated as an outcast here amongst her peers in Challenge 2009. She feels that she is being sidelined amidst her Indian and overseas counterparts. She and her mother openly let everyone present on the show know that since the people of her own community and own country do not approve of this, she would rather not be a part of this show, which left everyone flabbergasted on the sets.
The team of Golmaal Returns was present on the sets and this did some laughter therapy to the contestants present. The awesome foursome Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and the director Rohit Shetty not only had a blast on the sets but also released the film music. Ajay got a little nostalgic and went back to his old association with the channel when he and his family judged “Rock N Roll Family”. The participants were over the moon to have such big stars with them and that brought an extra zing to their performances.
Along with laughter and sorrow also comes the tension of who will get into the show via wild card. This week’s episode will also feature the new wild card entrants but also Somen Nandi, and Vaishali who got direct entry into Agnipariksha.
SRGMP c2009 Episode 24 20th September 2008 update
Today’s episode featured the stars from the forthcoming movie Golmaal Returns. The special guests were Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Tushar Kapoor & Shreyas Talpade.
The contestants performed songs from films such as Goal, and Dor.
The seating arrangements in the studio have been changed. Now the contestants of each gharana sit behind their mentor.
Each contestant sang songs by their favourite singer.
SRGMP c2009 Episode 22 13th September 2008 update
Today’s episode had a jail theme. All the contestants appearing for Bhramashtra were locked up behind bars and Aditya was “aaj ke zamane ki jailer”. The special guest on the show was Asraani and he was the head of the jail :P! Himeshji said that he has been very lucky as he got the chance to work with Asraani in Karzzzz.
The contestants opened the song by singing “har karam apna” and the words had been changed to fit the Bhramashtra theme.

2) Sheuli Samadder (EKLAVYA GHARANA) sang Mujhe Rang De.

4) Prachi Shah (DHOOM GHARANA) sang Haan Maine from Black.
SRGMPc2009 Episode 21 13th Setpember 2008
This episode was a Bhramashtra Special.
The studio was designed as a court room, with aditya as the prosecution lawyer. All the contestants that were competing for Bhramashtra had to stand and give their evidence in the dock and their respective mentors would give evidence for them in the opposite dock.
Himesh Reshammiya’s ROCK GHARANA won Bhramashtra 
Contestants:
1) Sunvinver (ROCK GHARANA) sang Main Hoon Don from Don. Himeshji said that he really wishes that Sunvinder coems back although he felt his performance was not up to the mark.
